Urban Walkabout: Florence

Constructed by the Worcester Lunch Car Company in 1941

Reviewing Cafe Evolution on happycow.net, jennicide writes: i love evolution cafe so much i feel sad when i am not there.

A cute house only visible in winter, we suspect. An armed and dangerous purple bag patrol officer from Northampton Media, lower right.

Artifacts 20th Century has an Eames lounger by Herman Miller. We've always liked the style. But the price was way beyond our budget.

We've brought chairs like this to the dump in years past. What were we thinking?

Sleds, shovels, salt and sand are displayed on the porch of the hardware store. We think they can put this stuff away.

We've recently purchased a high efficiency washer & dryer. We really like having them. Although pulling a load of towels through town looks like fun.

I'd like to live in a place no more urban than Florence. I worked in Florence once. It was an ISP called AAAA.net. It was all about the modems in those days.
